An unfilled remainder is not a confirmed reserve release

Reconcile quantity arithmetic and balance observations without attributing every balance change to one cancellation.

Use a quantity ledger and a balance ledger

An order record and an account balance describe different states. The order may identify an original quantity, accumulated fills and a terminal status. A balance snapshot describes assets at an observation time. Neither automatically explains the other.

Keep the order identifier, base quantity and quote currency in one table, and the balance asset, free/locked fields and observation times in another. The cited account/wallet schemas illustrate separate balance and trade data. They are not authenticated evidence from your account or a guarantee of any reservation model.

Name the arithmetic result carefully

For an invented order of 10 base units with 4 units filled, the arithmetic unfilled difference is 6 units. If a supplied later record says the order was cancelled, keep that status and its evidence. The subtraction alone does not establish a cancellation or an order still working on the book.

A deliberately simplified reserve model at 10 quote units per remaining base unit would give 60 quote units. That is conditional arithmetic, not the actual locked balance. Fees, amendments, other orders and the venue's own reservation rules are not supplied by the quantity subtraction.

Preserve the asset label in a Singapore statement

A local statement may display a SGD total while the order is quoted in USD or a token. Do not compare those numbers without an explicitly documented conversion. Free SGD, locked USD and the base-asset quantity belong in different columns.

Even a matching 60-unit change does not prove causation. Deposits, withdrawals, fee debits, other cancellations or valuation changes may occur between snapshots. Retain those events when known and label incomplete coverage rather than forcing the ledger to balance with an invented release.

An equal balance difference can have another explanation

The fictional free-balance increase of 60 could also be the net of a100-unit deposit and a40-unit withdrawal. That arithmetic matches the change without establishing any cancellation release. Preserve known ledger movements instead of selecting the explanation that happens to equal your reserve estimate.

A useful balance window names its opening and closing observations and states whether other movements are completely supplied. If the coverage is partial, the remaining difference is unexplained, not automatically a fee or a release. Quantities from the order ledger should remain in base units until a documented price and conversion rule are applied. This avoids treating a balance valuation, an available amount and an unfilled order quantity as the same thing.

Close the record with evidence, not an assumption

A useful reconciliation includes the actual terminal order record, the last relevant fills, the balance observations and references tying them to the same account and asset. Keep request time separate from the time a terminal status was observed. A cancellation request alone is not a terminal-state receipt.

Finish by reporting quantity reconciled, balance attribution supported, or the specific missing evidence. A reservation estimate cannot establish that funds are withdrawable or that a venue has completed settlement. No account credentials or real transfer are needed to use this local record method.

The optional link below leads to this site's separate crypto signals and Telegram updates offer. The record method is usable without that offer. It does not independently verify the offer, establish country eligibility or turn the teaching example into an actual transaction.
